Beginners Acoustic Electric Guitars | A Shopping Guide for Christmas and Birthdays
By Hmrjmr1
If you have a lad that is interested in learning guitar but is not one to go mainstream with the typical electric guitar. You might want to consider an Acoustic electric model for them. The Acoustic electric guitar is really the best of both world in gutars, It does not require an amplifier to be heard, yet it can be hooked to an amp for the fun stuff like gutar effects, and making a joyful noise. The included beginner practice amps generally have a headphones connection so your player can practice even more softly to the outside world but keep your neighbors (and the rest of the family) happy while learning the chords and scales.
I picked the two models below because they are quality manufacturers and their instruments tend to hold their value over time. Additionally, if they get tucked away in the back of the closet for a few years, so long as they are stored in their case and the temp and humidity is comfortable for humans they will hold their tone as well when the interest is renewed.
The links below are to Amazon, but look for the Zzounds retailer through Amazon because they are in my view the best in the business. I used them frequently while I worked in Morale Welfare and Recreation in Iraq and they ship to APO/FPO’s, as well as US Territories and now to Canada as well. They also ship to other countries but I have no experience outside the APO system for that so I am not well versed in their procedures for customs, and foreign payments.
They will match any advertised price on the internet, and as I stated earlier they do sell through Amazon as well.
